As founder and minister of Branch of Christ Outreach Ministry (BCOM), I want to remind all of PACE NEWS readers that  Jesus Christ is still the reason for the season.

This message is a must in our world today. Although it appears that we have  commercialized the holiday to death, Christmas is not dead.

No, Christmas is a live and  Jesus Christ is alive as well and he is living in each of our hearts as we demonstrate His love.

The Christ child was born a King and because of such, haters, like Herod, were abound. Herod wanted to stop this anointed child from being born according to Matthew’s gospel. In the second chapter, verse 1 and 2, it clearly states that “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of   Herod, the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews?” Herod, when he had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.”

Why? Because this child was anointed and appointed for such a time as this, to save his people. Whether you believe the exact day of birth was on December 25 or another day, the world recognizes this day and it is a day whereby one shows peace and goodwill towards men all over the world.

This birth is a special birth and it is a birth that threatens the power structure. It is a birth that caused Herod, the King, to summon Christ child’s death.

This birth of the Christ child, caused Herod to even pretend like he wanted to worship him but it was not true as a matter of fact the word said further in the same chapter in verse 12, after the three wise men had followed the star rejoicing with exceedingly great joy they came into the house where the young child was with his mother, Mary, they fell down and worshiped him and bestowed gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.

Afterward they were warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod. Herod was exceedingly angered from being mocked by the wise men and commanded that all the children two years and under be killed. Even Herod’s order to slay the children did not stop God’s plan for the incarnate King of Kings and the Lord of Lords who came to set the captives free.

The Christ child lives today in each and every one of us who are free to believe that we shall receive the manifold blessings of being heirs to the Father’s throne on earth and in heaven  through Christ, the hope of glory and the reason for the season.

In our world today, we must not get weary and worried about what we see because faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. This Christmas season continue to walk in faith and victory as we hold on to the message and the messenger, Jesus Christ, because He is still the reason for the     season to live the abundant life this Christmas and forever more.

Peace on earth and goodwill towards all men.

Branch of Christ Outreach Ministry (BCOM) mission is to help others to BCOM like Christ and to be set free. Call for prayer and intercession daily or to request a two (2) minutes Bible message for growth in your spiritual walk of faith in times like these at (323) 244-7286.
