Letter to the Editor: Dr. Wanda C. Stringer, Former Principal of John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, Mound Bayou, MS

Thank you, Mrs. Zuurveen and Pace News for getting the truth out concerning the magnificent history of our Town, its educational system and its remarkable students. In your article, you successfully captured the essence of the tragedy that has been inflicted upon the residents and youth of our town under the direction and playbook of the Mississippi power structure, but at the hands of those who look just like the inhabitants of our beloved town. The ability to sustain our great heritage and legacy has been stolen from us. We have been robbed of our civil liberties, our youth, our properties, our potential for sustaining our historic town. Still, we march on, sustained by the unfaltering power, hand, and grace of God. We are determined to reclaim that for which our founding fathers and countless generations of Mound Bayouians and friends so desperately fought. ~ Dr. Wanda C. Stringer, Former Principal of John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, Mound Bayou, MS
