LOS ANGELES—I have a copy of the 110 page ruling from the United States District Court Central District of California Civil Minutes General Case No. LA Case No. LA CV 20-02291-DOC-(KESx) , dated April 20, 2021. It is a lawsuit between the LA Alliance for Human Rights and the City of Los Angeles.
On Thursday, the Honorable David O. Carter, the federal judge, according to patch.com, moderated the lawsuit dealing with Los Angeles homelessness. In the meeting, Judge Carter said, “Although homelessness has spread throughout the area, “Skid Row is the epicenter, but the whole city is crying for help right now.” He described Skid Row as being even worse than refugee camps in Afghanistan and Syria.
The Southern Truth says that Judge Carter is absolutely right and that it is about time for somebody with authority other than those perpetual politicians and civil servants who are appointed and anointed to rubber stamp such a crisis of racism and unapologetically white supremacy at the highest level of local governance. This is done at the expense of taxpayers as well as with the tacit approval from Blacks who go along to get along like Kwame Brown said about Stephen A. Smith and his ilk. What’s wrong with this picture? From 2016 to 2017, the city saw a 22% increase in the number of unhoused Black Angelenos. Yet, in the same period, the number of white Angelenos experiencing homelessness decreased by 7%.
