Godspell 2021… The Call To Healing!!

The Performing Arts for Life and Education Foundation [PALEF] annouces its “Silver Anniversary Celebration”,  with  a live theater production and concurrent online streaming   “PRE –RECORDED  STREAM” of the event. (Donations accepted online or at Donate (paypal.com).

PALEF’s “Godspell 2021… The Call To Healing” is a newly crafted, innovated and a non-apologetic version, undergirded by the concept that ‘All Lives Matter’ Conceived by Artistic Director and Producer, Mr. Charles Douglass, in early 2020 the musical theater  event has evolved into a very fitting appropriate and well-timed vehicle,  paying homage and respect to an International movement of  ‘lives mattering’. The event is Choreographed and Co- Directed by Mr. Chester Whitmore. In our story Jesus (‘Sonaman’) is portrayed as the would be leader of a group of homeless renegades and ‘throwaway’ citizens of our society.

They all eventually find redemption, purpose, and a twenty-first century understanding of the ’meaning of life’, and their respective and very important places in it! With a surprising FINALE- not to be missed!! The beautiful and enchanting songs of Stephen Swartz are retained in this production with an added original tune by Mr. Douglass and composer Eric ’Cayenne’ Butler. The event is choreographed by the world renowned and world famous choreographer Chester Whitmore. The shows newly crafted visual concept is by Ms. Taylor Lockett, with lighting by Mr. Michael Ricks of The Sacred Fools Theater Ensemble.  A limited run will take place at the beautiful and spacious ninety –nine seat venue, ‘The Broadwater Theater” at 1076 Lillian Way in Hollywood, CA 90038.

A free preview was performed on October 10th at 8PM. The show will run Fridays, *Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of October. ALL TICKET DONATIONS ARE  $27.50-   Group rates available.
