PACE NEWS Proudly Sponsors the 2026 NCNW Black Family Reunion
Free July 25 celebration will unite families through culture, education, entertainment and economic development
The free community celebration will bring children, parents, grandparents, neighbors, businesses and community organizations together for a joyful day centered on family, culture, connection and unity.
Guests can expect entertainment, vendors, giveaways and activities for people of all ages—from children and teenagers to adults and senior citizens. The gathering will also provide opportunities for residents to receive valuable education and information, support local entrepreneurs and participate in meaningful conversations about strengthening families and creating economic development within the community.
The Black Family Reunion arrives at an important time. Families are confronting rising housing costs, economic uncertainty, educational challenges and concerns about the future of their neighborhoods. While the reunion will be filled with joy and celebration, it will also create space to ask an essential question: Where do we go from here?
The answer begins with coming together.
Strong families help build strong businesses. Strong businesses help create strong neighborhoods. Strong neighborhoods give children and future generations a greater opportunity to prosper. The Black Family Reunion represents an opportunity to celebrate what makes the community special while connecting families with organizations, services and resources that can help them move forward.
PACE NEWS has served the Los Angeles community since 1995 and is honored to stand as both a neighbor and collaborator in this worthwhile gathering. Located along the West 54th Street corridor, PACE NEWS believes that community media must do more than report what is happening—it must help bring people together, elevate community voices and support efforts that improve the quality of life for families.
“We are proud to support an event that celebrates the beauty, strength and resilience of the Black family,” said Dr. Gloria Zuurveen, publisher of PACE NEWS. “This reunion is an opportunity to enjoy one another, support community businesses, receive important information and build relationships that can lead to greater educational and economic opportunities.”
The reunion is presented by the National Council of Negro Women Southern California Coalition with the support of PACE NEWS and numerous community, civic, business and service partners.
The entire community is invited to attend, bring the family and enjoy a day of fellowship, fun and empowerment.
