Mr. People’s was a staunch fighter for Reparations and if he was alive today he would be in the midst and calling out Gov. Newsom for him to make good on his promises for California reparations. Photo by Gloria Zuurveen

Until the mainstream media is ready to discuss that most white people living in the US have ZERO ancestry in America, unlike most Black Americans nothing is going to change. The myth of the white majority needs to end. IF Black people were a minority, there wouldn’t have been so many laws to restrict their economic and social mobility. Why do you think in the 3/5 Compromise was made law by the Federal Government? America is the only country in history to give more to immigrants than Americans! Currently the Federal Government’s Grants.gov is giving millions of dollars away to immigrants and foreign nations yet claims it cannot afford Reparations? REPARATIONS NOW! BLACK PEOPLE DIDN’T COME TO AMERICA, THEIR ANCESTORS WERE PART OF MAKING AMERICA! States should not foot the bill for reparations. This is just a ploy. “They” know that most Black people cannot trace their lineage beyond a certain point. Notice the states “studying” the issue had a smaller population of American Slaves historically. The US government, through the Federal Housing Administration, conspired conspired with state governments, local municipalities, and private business made sure Americans Descended from Slaves were socially excluded. Richard Rothstein’s book, “The Color of Law”, painstakingly details this collusion. The book was not written to make the case for reparations, but provides 100% the legal basis for reparations.
Dejurie affirmative action policies for white Americans and immigrants have been standard US economic policy since the end of Reconstruction. These policies subsidized white Americans and immigrants, giving them opportunities for jobs marginalizing citizens. Jim Crow and Black Codes are examples of dejurie affirmative action that did not allow Americans to interact with the economy their ancestors created. These policies did not end with the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960s. They expanded with the US opening its borders to immigrants from the so-called third world further pushing American citizens into poverty! America imported the bulk of its white population because America, like every nation in this hemisphere, by the 18th Century was populated with people who were predominately of West African descent due to Slavery. There was a population turnover due to the greed of Western European imperialist and their Native co-conspirators.

Finally, Native Americans for nearly a century all Federally-recognized tribes have received reparations and affirmative action. Native Americans throughout the Americas and Caribbean played a significant role in the West African Slave Trade. For example, the Five Civilized Nations (Creek, Choctaw, Cherokee, Seminole, and Chickasaws) didn’t free their slaves with the passage of the 13th Amendment. Those slaves were freed in 1866 with treaties the US government did with individual tribes. Juneteenth is for American slaves, not the Native ones who were still enslaved.
