Happy Father’s Day
Hello Readers,
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads on this coming Sunday. You deserve all you get from your children and those whom you’ve served in the capacity as loving mentors in the life of a child in a way that edify and lift them up to be all they can and shall be because of dads who care and who are the epitome of the light that God made all dads to be as leaders in their home and raising their families as they have been ordained to do. The seed-givers are to be nurtured and attended to in ways that will bring out and be the best fruit for generations. We are proud of all dads and we honor you on Father’s Day and everyday for being the heroes you are, not only to your offsprings, but to the whole community. You are somebody just like the Rev. Jesse Jackson use to say in the early civil rights days, “I maybe poor, but I am somebody, I maybe on welfare, but I am somebody, I maybe in jail, but I am somebody, I maybe uneducated, but I am somebody, I am black, beautiful, brown, I must be respected, I must be protected.” Those are powerful word then and they are powerful words today. On this Father’s Day, all men, especially Black men, rich or poor, uneducated or educated, in jail or not in jail, and on welfare or not on welfare, today the same can be said, the Black man, woman and child must be respected and protected and what is a better time than now to began from this Father’s Day forward to collectively in unity with common issues in the communities demand to be respected and protected so that in return they too can respect and most of all protect the Black families today by becoming one to meet the challenges ahead. We have to get back to, like Brother Rod Hayes says, Big Mama’s business. He advocates and so do I, to Organize the Tribe®, because of the urgent necessity.
Happy Father’s Day!
