Parent Action Coalition for Education (PACE) Announces Honorees for the 2024 GLORY AWARDS

LOS  ANGELES  – The Parent Action Coalition for Education (PACE) , a 501c3 tax deductible nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Gloria Zuurveen, has announced their premier fundraiser, the 2024 “ GLORY Awards”, produced by WePlay Studios, on Sunday, September 29, 2024 @ 6PM at the Miracle Theater On Market Street in the City of Inglewood, Proceeds from the event will go to the PACE Journalism Education Enrichment Program ( JEEP) to help drive youth and young adults to careers in the field of STEM Journalism to include, newsgathering, interviewing, reporting, editing, broadcasting, gaming, and financial literacy in the media world.

The 2024 GLORY Awards is sponsored and    produced by WePlay Studios and the Miracle Theater. Tickets starts at $30.00. Since 2002, Parent Action Coalition for Education (PACE) has been fully committed to its original goal of training parents to advocate on behalf of their children to assure they receive the education required to enable them to become productive self- sufficient residents of their community. PACE, in conjunction with parents and other community based organizations and groups strives to promote and accomplish the following:

  1. Building self-esteem
  2. Personal hygiene, proper grooming & home economics
  3. Promote social responsibility
  4. Increase school attendance
  5. Explore career opportunities
  6. Promote ethics and character development.

About Parent Action Coalition for Education (PACE):

The PACE Coalition uses volunteer mentors from the community to conduct its programs. These mentors are recruited from sources such as colleges, churches, schools, the police department, businesses and other community  based  organizations. These mentors will offer:

  1. Teaching, training and technical assistance in the art of adult developmental
  2. Economic job skills
  3. Mentoring
  4. Tutoring
  5. Economic literacy
  6. Violence prevention
  7. Computer literacy.
