Invitation to Submit Bids for RFB-0188

The City of Inglewood invites and will receive bids from experienced contractors qualified to “Request for the Lease of Pre-Fabricated Modular Buildings at the City Yard,” as specified in this document. The mandatory job walk will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. (PST). Contractors will meet at the City Yard entrance on Beach Avenue and Hazel Street at 222 W. Beach Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90301. The actual dimensions will be determined during the job walk, and additional specifications will be provided. All questions brought up during the job walk must be posted on Planet Bids and responded to during the Q&A period. Each bid shall be completed and submitted in all particulars and must be enclosed in a sealed package addressed to the City of Inglewood, The Office of the City Clerk, One Manchester Blvd., 1st Floor, Inglewood, CA 90301, with the designation of the project, “Request for the Lease of Pre-Fabricated Modular Buildings at the City Yard” appearing thereon. Bid Bonds Required Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of cash, cashier’s check, or certified check made payable to the City of Inglewood or a bid bond for an amount not less than ten (10%) of the aggregate of the bid, as a guaranty that the successful Bidder will, within the time specified, enter into an agreement as provided in the bid document and furnish bonds when required in the General Provisions. The Payment Bond and the Performance Bond shall be in a sum equal to the contract price. Bids will be opened in public on May 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (PST) in The Office of the City Clerk and will be announced then and there to all persons present. Specifications and other bid documents for the above service are on the City’s PlanetBids portal. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularity within any bid and to take bids under advisement for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from and after the date bids are opened and announced. The following conditions and terms apply: The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Attached are detailed specifications and conditions for bid submission. You must execute your contract within ten (10) days after the City e-mails it. If the contract is not executed within ten (10) days, the City reserves the unilateral right to cancel it. If any provision of the contract is violated, the City, after suitable notice, may cancel the contract and make arrangements to have the products and services supplied by others. The Contractor will pay the City any extra cost.  Bids may be obtained from the City’s PlanetBids portal at https://pbsystem.planetbids.com/portal/45619/portal-home. All bids with pricing must be for specific amounts. Any attempt to qualify prices with an ‘escalation clause’ or any other method of making a price variable, is unacceptable. Bid shall be valid for ninety (90) calendar days from and after the date bids are opened and announced. The City reserves the right to add or subtract quantities and services based on the unit prices/unit lump sums indicated as its budgetary needs may require.
