Public Notices, Public Power: Dr. Zuurveen Hits the Stage at Women Rock Summit

Saturday, May 3, 2025, will come alive at the City of Inglewood’s 4th Annual Women Rock Empowerment Summit, held at the Inglewood Senior Center. If you’re not there, you’ll miss an unforgettable experience!

You’ll hear from phenomenal women, including our very own Judge Mablean, a native Mississippian too, will deliver a powerful message you won’t want to miss. Also gracing the stage is none other than YoYo, the iconic rap artist and queen of empowerment, bringing her dynamic voice and passion for women’s issues.

And here’s a historic moment to look forward to: Inglewood City Clerk Aisha L. Thompson and 4th District Councilwoman Dionne Faulk will spotlight the incredible achievement of Malia Cohen, the first Black woman to serve as State Controller of California. What a day it’s going to be!

And yes, I’m Dr. Gloria Zuurveen, and I’ll be there too, leading a workshop on “The Power of Public Notices.” This isn’t just about legal ads—it’s about how you can stay informed, get involved, and tap into real opportunities when RFPs (Requests for Proposals) come to your city. With exclusive access to publish public notices in Inglewood, I’ll share how this tool can open doors to economic empowerment and civic engagement—all in under one hour.

Special thanks to City Clerk Aisha L. Thompson and Councilwoman Dionne Faulk for making this empowering day possible—and to Mayor James T. Butts, Jr., whose continued leadership and unwavering support have been instrumental in the success of the Women Rock Empowerment Summit and in showcasing the City of Inglewood in all its glory.

Join me and these amazing women at the Women Rock Empowerment Summit on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Come get energized, inspired, and equipped to rise.
