The Southern Truth: A Lesson On Satan

By Gloria Zuurveen Editor-in-Chief

When I heard all the hype and media sensation about Lil Nas X “Satan Shoes” featuring a bronze pentagram, an inverted cross and a drop of real human blood, I thought it was the right time to talk about Satan from a Biblical perspective and what I believe is going on in our society today.

The Nike Air Max 97s, are front and center in the devilish scene with Nas X; however, in an email statement to CNN, the company said it was not involved in creating the modified sneakers. “We do not have a relationship with Lil Nas or MSCHF, a New York-based art collective.”

This pattern of pressure to sit on the couch to win a huge movie role like some were made to do, women, that is, in the case of Harvey Weinstein or even like this with Lil Nas X are usually under tremendous pressure and are influenced by those with big bucks offered in exchange for raw and natural melanated talent of young impressionable Black men and women must be overwhelming and hard to resist.

With Nas X, on top of finding fame, fortune and a fancy footstep future that has influenced adults and children alike with his famous “Old Town Road” lyrics and dance, he found Satanism too.

I say more power to him. He is at the age of accountability. It is not for us to judge the man but to look at his fruit. Because according to the Scripture in the same Bible where Luke 10:8, the scripture associated with the “Satan Shoes” so too is Matthew 7:16 that says, “You will know them by their fruits…Even  so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.”

So you see, Nas X is acting out of his nature to follow the leader, his leader being Satan. The same one that Christ was introduced to in Matthew immediately after his baptism and confirmation by the Holy Ghost, he too was led and tempted by Satan to follow and to bow down. Listen and hear what Satan offered Jesus Christ before the great rejection, in chapter 4, look at verse 8, “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceedingly high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.” Christ rejected Satan’s  temptation. So too could  Nas X have rejected the appeal and the allure of the riches that came with his fun, friendly and family oriented song “Old Town Road” that propelled him to success, now with Satan, as the pentagram sneakers flew off the shelves by consumers for over a thousand dollars a pair.

Satan and his followers make choices to choose just like Christ made a choice and said, instead, “Begone, Satan; for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

It’s plain and simple a fool can’t really error from the straight and narrow path but some do just like the ones David mentioned in Psalms 14:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.”

So, Lil Nas X stand in the need of repentance for restoration and reconciliation because he too can still be delivered if he chooses to be snatched from the pit of hell on earth. The devil’s mission to kill, steal and destroy has never ceased. Lil Nas X has open a great door to share this lesson on Satan and his ilk. The power of persuasion and possession of more of this world’s goods under the influence of sadistic greed, Nas X endorsement is garnering a hefty price tag of  $1,018 a pair. Each pair has an air bubble sole which contains “one drop” of human blood, according to MSCHF. The whole idea sound sacrilegious and full of Satanic galore but in reality, Satan’s end is near the door.

In closing this lesson on “Nas X and His Satanic Adventures” is to encourage you today that in spite of what you see there is a better way. “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”  Jesus Christ said this about Satan who once held a great and high position in the Kingdom of God before he was cast down because of his pride. Look at Isa. 14:12-14. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” Because of Satan’s pride, we have the present world system organized upon the Satanic principles of force, greed, selfishness, ambition, and sinful pleasure. This is the same world system which is being offered up as a bribe from Satan just like he offered it to Jesus Christ as mentioned earlier in Matthew 4. Satan is the prince of this world system. Paul in his letter to the Ephesians said, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Where did Satan take Christ to tempt him? To the pinnacle, of the temple, a high place, and showed him all the kingdoms of this world.

Lil Nas X’s lesson is to learn that the age of accountability is on him to choose whom he will serve either God or mammon (money) because Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and money.” For all those who will experience the presence of Lil Nas X’s Satanic influence live and in living color on their TV or computer Internet screens must also choose whom they will serve because according to the Scripture in the book of Revelation, it clearly states, in chapter 20 vs. 10, “And Satan that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.”  Will you be included? A lesson on Satan. The Southern Truth the Bible way.

He tapped into a market for the sole purpose of making money. I don’t believe that this young man truly believe in Satan. Satan has created nothing on this Earth except division, hate and a total lack of knowledge of all the greatness that God have provided for us. I can’t articulate exactly what I think about this young fool. Love you sis. A great article.

Unfortunately for the young ones this article rings so true to today’s lifestyle of a lot of our impressionable children and young adults. Although hard to see what satan is doing to this young man what is important is that we should all pray for his soul. This well written article should not just be understood by ourselves but shared amongst our children and our loved ones, we are all in this together. Have a Blessed Resurrection weekend.
