PUBLIC NOTICE
The Housing Choice Voucher Program, also known as HCV (Section 8), is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and operated by local Public Housing Agencies. The Inglewood Housing Authority (IHA) manages the Section 8 program and the Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Program for the City of Inglewood. These programs provide rental assistance to very low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities, helping them afford quality housing in the private rental market. Under the Section 8 Program, participants receive a voucher to find housing in the open market, and under the PBV Program, participants are housed in site-specific developments throughout the City of Inglewood. The IHA is currently opening the PBV Program waiting list for the site-specific locations listed below.

Pre-Applications will be available online from September 20, 2025, at midnight to September 24, at 5:30 pm
Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number before submitting a pre-application. Applications can be submitted from anywhere with internet access, whether on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

ELIGIBILITY
Anyone meeting the income limits and age requirements may apply for the PBV Program waiting list; see the income limits and property restrictions below. Please note, preference will be given to:
- Those who live or work in Inglewood (the head or co-head must work at least 28 hours per week within the City of Inglewood);
- Households where the head of household is elderly (age 62+) or disabled;
- Extremely low-income households;
- Any income-eligible head of household currently living at 512 Centinela;
- Anyone living in a HUD-funded Housing Assistance Program in Inglewood that expired within the last 24 months or is set to expire within 24 months of this waiting list opening;
- Existing Section 8 Voucher holders and active Section 8 Participants.

The final waitlist will be selected through a random lottery. Applicants not chosen in this lottery will not proceed further.

Lottery winners will be ranked by preferences and assigned random applicant ID numbers. Results will be available approximately 30 days after the closing of the list. The results are final and not subject to appeal. Rejected households can reapply when the list opens again.
As funding allows, pre-applications will be chosen from the waitlist based on preference, unit size, and household needs to determine eligibility for the HCV program.
