Happy Birthday to Inglewood City Clerk Aisha L. Thompson

Inglewood City Clerk Aisha L. Thompson and Mayor James T. Butts, Jr. kicked off Votechella “Groove the Vote” on the South Lawn at City Hall, Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The successful event was the result of extensive preparation and planning to create an educational, festival-style experience focused on voter registration. Inspired by staff members Christine and Adryana to use a similar Coachella theme, Votechella inside Inglewood brought energy, creativity, and purpose together to remind residents of the importance of registering and preparing to vote. Today, January 13th, is the birthday of Inglewood City Clerk Aisha L. Thompson.
Yes—this is the day she was born. The appointed time set by God for her arrival, for her purpose, and for the STAR that she is. Born for greatness, born for service, and born with destiny written all over her life.
The City of Inglewood is truly blessed by her presence. Aisha is a jack of all trades when it comes to making things happen—so much so that I affectionately call her my “Walk on Water Friend.” Why? Because she has an extraordinary ability to take something that does not yet exist—an idea, a vision, a hope—and bring it into reality. I am a living witness to her speaking things not yet real and then watching them come to pass.

Her faith moves mountains. It uplifts those around her and is matched by a spirit of unconditional generosity. She leads not just with competence, but with conviction, humility, and grace.
And then there is Quentin, her son—a royal one who knows exactly who he is, because his mother shows him every day. Who else is escorted from their elementary school culmination riding high on a galloping horse? Only Aisha L. Thompson’s son. That moment alone speaks volumes about legacy, confidence, and love poured forward.
This is the Aisha L. Thompson I have come to know—a woman with a willing spirit, a glowing light, and a faith that makes miracles daily. She knows God is her guide, and she exalts Him without hesitation or shame.
It is only fitting, then, that Aisha L. Thompson was named a PACE GLORY AWARDS 2025 honoree, recognized for her exemplary public service, moral leadership, and unwavering commitment to uplifting the people she serves. This honor reflects not just what she does, but who she is: a light bearer, a standard setter, and a servant-leader walking fully in her calling.
Today, we honor the Queen of the hour.
Happy Birthday, Aisha L. Thompson.
